HOW TO BE A MAN IN TEN EASY STEPS

We get a lot of parents contacting us about their teenage sons doing a lot of crazy things. So here's our advice for boys trying to become safe, strong and useful men in life.

1. DON'T BE A SIMP

If a girl doesn't think that you're the best thing since sliced bread, she never will. Let her go. Don't look back. Importantly, never try to convince or coerce a girl to be with you, either emotionally OR physically! The right one is out there.

2. DEVELOP A CODE

Even outlaws have a code for how they live their life. Find out what's important to you and live by it.

3. INVEST IN YOURSELF

Don't waste your money on material things. Try to save money and set yourself up for your future. The money you do spend should be on leaning, training, positive experience and building yourself to be a better, more capable version of yourself.

4. EAT WELL

Being overweight and unfit makes you vulnerable. It makes you vulnerable in terms of your mental health. It makes you more prone to illness and disease. It increases your chance of being bullied and of being a target to predators. It reduces your overall lifespan. It drastically diminishers your ability to effectively fight and run away from dangerous situations. Don’t let yourself be vulnerable, but rather eat well to become health, strong, fit, capable and resilient.

5. LIFT WEIGHTS

It's good for your muscles. It's good for your bones. It's good for your cardiovascular health. It's good for your stress levels. You could do it your whole life and it will make you bigger, stronger, faster, more tenacious and more resilient both physically and mentally.

6. READ AND LEARN

Reading is like working out for your brain. It makes you smarter. It makes you stronger. It makes you better. And if you don't use it, then you lose it! You want to build a keen intelligence to increase your overall mental capacity, insight and awareness in life.

7. DON'T BE STUBBORN

Next to being cruel, being stubborn is probably the worst personality trait there is. You're not being strong. You're not being tough. You're just afraid of making important changes. It is also potentially dangerous as it will disable your ability to avoid hairy situations, to walk away from conflict or to back-out of escalating arguments.

8. EXERCISE HUMILITY

Too many guys these days are trying to be show off, trying to look like they have the perfect life. Just be humble and be true to who you are. Lead by example by being a strong , capable and kind individual on a path to betterment, happiness and success.

9. HAVE RESPECT

Exercise respect and restraint towards all people, places and beings. Protect nature, because if you don't have respect the environment then you won't have respect for yourself. Respect your elders for their experience and insight. Respect your parents for their role in protecting and providing for you. Respect your teachers for their efforts in disciplining and educating you. Respect your coaches for their help in making you a better and healthier version of yourself. Respect workers for their services; peers for their friendship; women for their personal rights; men for their autonomy; law enforcement for their protection etc etc. Your job is not to threaten, judge, destroy or take advantage of things in life. It's to become the best version of yourself to lead the future and the next generation.

10. EMPOWER YOURSELF WITH SELF DEFENCE

About 90% of the population is made up of really good people. But that other 10%, those are bullies and predators. You need to be willing and able to stand up to them. You need to know how to avoid dangerous situations and you need to know how to fight if need be.
